This Used CP Thornton Contoured Legend Special in Black is in great shape. There are some scratches around the bridge pickup and since it's black, it shows off any little mark when the light hits it. There is some light clouding of the finish in some spots as well. This electric guitar is fully functioning. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original build sheet and original hardshell case.
This is an exceptionally nice guitar, especially for the money. It features top-shelf parts like Jescar's Evo Frets, Zhangbucker Cherrick and Honk P90 pickups, and Gotoh/Faber/Resomax hardware. The wood selection is equally as nice, as this is a great playing, resonant, and lively guitar.
The body is made from a single piece of mahogany. The face of the guitar is finish in Black Full-Gloss lacquer while the back is finished in a matter trans red stain. The contrast between colors offers in interesting visual element to this guitar. The top is bound with W/B/W binding.
The neck is made of Honduran Mahogany and it has very nice looking Madagascar Rosewood Fingerboard. A 12" fingerboard radius and 22 of Jescar's EVO frets (047 x 104) provide a phenomenal playing surface. A set of Gotoh 510 Tuners function very well and Ivoroid Buttons tie its look together perfectly. 1 and 11/16" nut width and 24 5/8" scale length cover the neck numbers.
The original pair of Zhangbucker P90 pickups are still installed in this guitar and they sound fantastic. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control and is accessible via a 3-way blade switch.
