When the DB7 Prototype came back into my life...

A bitter-sweet day. Sweet in that the working prototype for DB7 number one, which I created so many years ago, is coming back home to be a part of my musical life. Bitter in that it’s returning to me because of the passing of a dear friend. I’m honored to have this back in my life for a few reasons. It’s the prototype DB7… First and foremost however, is that it’s a symbol. For me as an artist, I do what I can to make someone happy. For many years, it's what it’s been ALL about. Once I receive it, listen to it, and hear how it’s changed and sweetened since it was made (a few times over), I’ll be able to bask in its new adult skin as if a son is coming home to visit. Hundreds of thousands of notes played, bumps and battle scars along the way, and successes. It will all be coursing through its veins again soon. For that I’m grateful.⁠
