Schroeder Amplification is a Family Business: PROOF!

Schroeder Amplification is a family business. I created this business at a young age and I built it from “the ground up”. Years of working 70-80 hour weeks with a seemingly endless energy, stemming only from my sheer passion for all aspects of music and it’s creation. I met my wife, a classically trained singer and vocal coach, during a time when I had a studio in Chicago’s “Fine Arts Building” on Michigan Avenue. Unbeknownst to me, she had just moved in down the hall. I was at my bench working on an instrument when I heard her voice for the first time. It spoke to me in a way that made me follow its trail down the hall and to her doorstep. The rest is history… Many years later, we now have a son who loves nothing more than to get his hands dirty and to “play” with my creations in the shop and in Mom’s studio. Almost all of our lifelong friends have also been found along this path. Friend/clients have requested that our boy decorate their amps on order and a few of his handprints adorn the same. Now that I’m 50, I look around me and realize just how lucky I am to have this life filled with family, friendships and music of every level. I don’t know what I did to deserve all this but I’m grateful everyday!
