EV Reference One
This is our latest and top of the „EV-series“ model, the Reference ONE. Michael Kraske developed this model around the idea of a wide-band, closed cabinet speaker. Knowing about the tonal balance and richness that a full-range speaker can reproduce, not willing to accept the lack of bass and presence of high percentage of distortion. So the paper-cone, symmetrical drive mid-woofer is accompanied by a 1“ tweeter and 12“ long-throw subwoofer. The mid-woofers slices-cone prevents effectively cone breakups, so it is playing from 50 Hz and blending over gently to the tweeter creating a speaker with full-range characteristic – but with punchy bass down to 25 Hz and extended treble smooth as silk. As always with Credo Audio speakers, we achieved linear impedance and a high efficiency (of 87.6 dB), making it an easy load for amplifiers.

Product details
Three-way Full Range Masterpiece
EV Reference One treats listeners to absolute reference performance across the whole audio spectrum. The three-way construction includes custom drivers including a neodymium magnet powered coated textile tweeter, a coated sliced paper cone midrange, and a powerful dual-ferrite magnet 12" bass driver. The symmetrical-drive motor systems ensure very low distortion playback.
Dual Closed Cabinet design
The midrange and tweeter are isolated in a closed cabinet mounted above closed subwoofer cabinet. This double vibration decoupling strategy means that acoustic interactions between drivers are virtually eliminated. Both cabinets are sealed designs eliminating deleterious port noises associated with vented boxes.
Easy to Drive
Like other Credo loudspeakers, the crossover has been especially well designed to achieve a linear impedance and high sensitivity. Any well constructed, high resolution amplifier will reveal the best that Credo EV Reference One has to offer
Premium Build with Premium Ingredients
Made at the Credo factory in Switzerland, the EV Reference ONE includes customized European drivers with symmetrical-drive motor systems, innovative diaphragm materials, and superb response characteristics. The crossover is a complex passive proprietary 3-way design using top performing Mundorf CFC air-core inductors and Mundorf MCap Supreme EVO capacitors.
